Lee Tusman ๐Ÿ‘ฝ is a New York-based new media ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ’ป artist, educator and organizer applying the radical ethos of collectives ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฟโ€๐Ÿญ ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผโ€๐ŸŽค ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿฟโ€๐ŸŽจ ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ง and DIY culture ๐Ÿงท to the creation of, aesthetics, and open-source distribution methods ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ of digital culture. He uses code โŒจ๏ธ, collage โœ‚๏ธ, sound ๐ŸŽถ and text ๐Ÿ“. His works are installations ๐Ÿ—‘ , interactive media ๐Ÿ“‘, video art ๐Ÿ“น, experimental games ๐ŸŽฎ, sound art ๐Ÿ”Š, websites ๐ŸŒ, bots ๐Ÿค– and micro-power radio stations๐Ÿ“ก. He's presented projects at museums ๐Ÿ›๏ธ, galleries ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ, artist-run spaces ๐Ÿš๏ธ and virtual environments ๐Ÿ›ธ. Lee studied at Brandeis University and received his MFA at UCLA in Design Media Arts. He is Assistant Professor of New Media and Computer Science at the State University of New York, Purchase College. Tusman hosts Artists and Hackers, a podcast on art, code and community.

Lee is a member of the artist-organized community Flux Factory. He was an organizer with Babycastles, a NYC-based collective fostering and amplifying diverse voices in videogame culture. He co-founded Processing Community Day NYC. He is a past organizer at Hidden City Philadelphia, Little Berlin and KCHUNG Radio. Lee has participated in residencies at Pioneerworks (Brooklyn), Signal Culture (NY), Bangkok Art and Culture Center (Thailand), ARoS Museum (Denmark), Plexus Projects (Brooklyn), and Asian Arts Initiative (Philadelphia). He is a frequent guest lecturer at universities and has been interviewed by The New York Times, Al Jazeera, NPR, LA Times, NBC, Metro, CBS, Hyperallergic, Technically, AQNB, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Wire, and The Smithsonian.
